Chemical Resistance: ECRA DTM offers protection in a majority of aggressive environments with the exception of strong alkalis and oxidising chemicals. Excellent to chemical fumes and splash resistance
  • Colour : Translucent, light blue / green / black finish (colour can be adjusted to meet manufacturer’s needs).
  • Super Hydrophobic: Additive to increase condensation and improve corrosion resistance.
  • Gloss Level: Full.
  • Chemical Resistance: Excellent (with the exception of strong alkalis or oxidising chemicals), see chemical resistance information. In addition, the ECRA SHM demonstrates excellent resistance to fumes from the following: Lactic Acid, Oxalic Acid, Humic Acid and Saltwater.
  • Temperature Range:Up to 180 °C
  • Fin pattern: Standard and also suitable for enhanced fin designs
  • Fin Type: Aluminium, Copper and all Ferrous and Non Ferrous Metals
  • Application Method: Total Coil Immersion or spraying

Neutral Salt Spray:

  • ASTM B117 (American Standards Test Method) and AS 2331.32 -­‐‑ 1980 (Australian Standard) are test procedures used for the Neutral Salt Spray testing
Acidified Salt Spray:

  • 2000 hour American Standards Test Method used with the very aggressive corrosion testing using the Acidified Salt Spray testing
ECRA DTM is also resistant to the following materials:
  • Food acids: Vinegar, Milk and Diary products, Confectionary, Citric Acid, Oleic Acid, Oxlic Acid, Allyl Sulphide ( from onion and garlic)
  • Vegetable and fruits contain various acids which mainly attack to copper.
  • Environmental /Ambient: H2S, Nitrous Oxides ( Car emission) found in various concentrations near transport routes. CO2 wide ambient presence.  Salt spray, acidified salt spray where is coastal, near coastal regions leading to corrosion of aluminum and other anodic metals.
  • Alcohol beverages manufacturer/ processing: Ethanol vapors, wood processing where Humic Acid selectively and rapidly attacks copper tube of coils during timber drying/aging. Hydrochloric acid vapor from metal foundries.
  • Chlorine Fumes: Chlorine fumes generated by cleaning agents in BLEACH. Chlorine fumes generated around Chlorine based POOL disinfection
  • Promek ECRA-DTM is a high Gloss ACRYLIC is a direct to metal high gloss water based acrylic copolymer specifically designed for use in industrial and marine HVAC coils, micro-channel coils and refrigeration coils to stop corrosion from salt and industrial pollution. The coating exhibits excellent performance properties, including high gloss, anti-corrosion resistance and excellent salt spray resistance.
  • The formulation is a new HYBRID Resin which allows the addition of special properties which increase both the corrosion resistance and the overall performance of the heat exchange surface. The resin matrix is a tightly crosslinked coating which adheres tightly to all metal substrates.
  • The formulation, in addition, provides hydrophobic and anti-microbial (silver ion) film characteristics suitable for both the top coat and maintenance applications.
  • The coating can be applied to previously coated fins to increase protection.
  • Indoor Air Quality Treatment:
    • Silver Ion additive to complete kill all bacteria, viruses and mould that comes into contact with the heat exchange surface.
    • Permanent disinfectant additive added within the resin as a HYBRID to maximise exposure and durability of the disinfectant.
    • Strong adhesion of the resin to all metal substrates including copper, aluminium and galvanised steel.
